JOFFRE SOLAR PROJECT

47MW GRID CONNECTED DISTRIBUTED SOLAR

Joffre-Solar

PROJECT SUMMARY

PACE Solar (PACE), is developing a 47 MWac solar project. Starting in 2018, PACE has conducted the requisite studies for connection to the Fortis distribution system and to complete the AUC 007 consultation process. PACE expects to have completed all necessary documentation for the AUC to issue a “leave to Construct and Operate” permit by Q3-2020. The project will connect via 2 feeders to the Fortis distribution system and will export electricity onto the Alberta Interconnected Electric System (AIES). The required wildlife studies for the Alberta Environment & Parks (AEP) are currently being undertaken, and we anticipate receipt of a Referral Letter in Q4-2020 describing the project as “Low” potential impact to natural values on site.
